Due to its enhanced chemical resistance, high-temperature capability, and low permeability, custom Kynar static mixers constructed of Kynar® PVDF  are a compelling choice for demanding chemical applications. Kynar lined mixers are offered in Kynar-lined flanged carbon steel (standard) or solid schedule 80 Kynar styles. Koflo Blade™ Mixing Elements

The patented Koflo Blade™ style element provides Koflo's best-in-class efficient mixing ability for turbulent flow applications combined with minimal pressure (head) loss. Koflo's Blade™ elements are available in multiple configurations for demanding applications

  • Standard Design - Recommended for most applications. Koflo's standard configuration provides the best combination of mixing ability, pressure loss, and overall length.
  • Low Pressure Loss Design - For limited head pressure applications where lower pressure loss is a critical requirement. Lower pressure loss than standard design elements.
  • Ultra Low Pressure Loss Design - For critically limited head applications where lower pressure loss is paramount to the system design.
  • High-Mix Design - For space-constrained applications that demand Koflo's best-in-class mixing in a shorter overall length

Koflo's helical-style static mixer elements are designed to provide optimal mixing for laminar / plug flow applications. Benefits of helical-style mixing elements include:

Flanged end connections provide easy assembly and disassembly in piping systems. For Kynar® static mixers with flanged end configurations, Koflo offers Class 150 raised face flanged ends as standard.

Chemical Injection Port

Chemical injection ports allow the additive stream to be injected directly into the static mixer unit. If more than one chemical injection port is necessary, multiple ports can be configured in a linear or radial fashion. Injection ports are available in multiple configurations to suit your application.

    Solid Kynar - FNPT

    Female NPT threaded ports are offered in multiple sizes. Use threaded ports to accept male NPT connectors or add a Koflo chemical injection quill. Offered on solid Kynar mixers only.

  • Lined Kynar mixer with flanged port

    Kynar Lined - Flanged

    Flanged ports are offered in multiple sizes on mixers 6" and larger. For lined mixers under 6", we recommend using an Instrument Tee . Mixer is shown with solid Hastelloy-C276 injection sparger (optional).

Instrument Tee - Kynar Lined

Instrument tees can be placed upstream of your Koflo static mixer and mounted between two flange faces to introduce additive streams to the main process flow. Kynar lined instrument tees feature a flanged port assembly (carbon steel as standard) with the same heavy duty Kynar lining utilized in Koflo Kynar lined mixers. Tees and can be paired with a Koflo centerline injection sparger  for safe and effective delivery of chemicals into the center of the main stream.

Solid Kynar® injection ring

Injection Ring - Solid Kynar

Injection rings can be placed upstream of your Koflo static mixer and mounted between two flange faces to introduce additive streams to the main process flow. Solid Kynar injection tees are machined from solid Kynar billet and can be paired with Koflo's Kynar line of chemical injection quills (shown above) to safely and effectively introduce corrosive chemicals into the main stream.

Solid Kynar® static mixer with flow straightening vane

Flow Straightening Vane

Flow straightening vanes can be added to the downstream end of any Kynar static mixer mixer to significantly reduce the flow rotation caused during the mixing process. Flow straightening vanes have a negligible impact on pressure loss.
